These are part of a set..you HAVE to see them in person..made of paper mache with a gauze over and then painted..they are called "the parson's nose dance" which is based on the English word for the part of the chicken that went over the fence last..we always called it "the Pope's hat" because it is shaped like a miter.. note the shape of their bottoms..
