"CHILDREN OF THE MOONTM" a series of original porcelain dolls by Yara Anderson . About Yara I was born and raised in a small village in Northern Holland where, at a young age, I learned doll-making from my mother, Trijntje. By the time I was a teenager, I had mastered the traditional style and ventured into the imaginative forms that have since distinguished my work. Since immigrating to the U.S.A. in the summer of 1994, I have produced one-of-a-kind dolls and marionettes in a number of materials, including Marblex, Cernit and low-firing clays. My current series, "Children of the Moon", represents original cast and one-of-a-kind porcelain dolls. "Children of the Moon" is an ongoing limited series, which depicts the adventures and delights of children from another world.
