Here is a mermaid, who has been caught by a
local fisherman with no compassion. He has had her stuffed
and mounted, like a trophy fish, posed as she was when he
first caught sight of her: going for the bait.
Her tail is soft sculpture, and her upper body is paper
clay over fabric. The scales are made from sequins which
have been cut into thirds and glued in place.
